Do you know absolutely everything that went into your mouth yesterday? Many of us have to really think about that before we can answer it and chances are there will be something you will forget; a quick indulgence, a sample, a taste test. It is actually amazing how many calories we are probably missing when we are dieting.
Also, many times we make very poor choices and documenting these choices can heighten our awareness of just how often we are making these choices.
Habits, Habits, Habits
Journaling is a great way to expose bad habits. What feelings do you encounter that cause you to over indulge? What excuses do you make when you make poor choices? When you begin to track food choices, exercise regimens and your mood, it is amazing the relations between our food choices and our lifestyle that will come to light.
