Have you ever set a goal but never followed through with it? How about a dream; a vision of what you and your life could possibly be? Many people dream and set goals but they do not have an action plan and never follow through with it.
I just accomplished one of my dreams /goals and it only took me 13 years. I always had said that I wanted to compete in a fitness competition. I have said it since I was in my 30’s and finally at the age of 44 I did it! I am really quite proud of my accomplishment, I have never been an athlete and fancy for me the night before my competition I had to attend an “Athlete’s Meeting.” The entire journey was magical. I began at the end of July, I hired a fitness and nutrition coach and I got started! It wasn’t until the end of September that I actually set the date of November 22, 2014 to compete in my first competition. Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy to stay committed. I had so many moments of self doubt but I am so glad that I had a coach to tell me I could do it! If it wasn’t for my coach I would have quit! This is my coaches wife, Alissa Boris and myself the day of the competition.
Money coaching is the same. I know many people that want to get out of debt, or want to save to purchase that dream house, they set goals for themselves but they never follow through. They need a coach as well! I truly believe that we are put on this earth to walk along side each other, helping each other all the way. We need to use our gifts that God has given us to encourage and coach each other along those paths. My coach/ personal trainer, Jeff Boris has the gift of encouragement, he knows his nutrition and fitness and can work with any body to help transform it to your dream body.
I myself have the gift of listening. I listen and hear what you have to say with regards to your financial dreams and goals and then we together set a plan and I am there to follow up and encourage you along the way. If one of us falls off the path, you have a coach there to help you get back on.
I am truly learning that any dream is possible if you believe. The most important part is believing in yourself. No matter where you are or what your dream is, it isn’t too big. I met so many inspiring women this weekend. Some women had to lose 50lbs in order to compete. Some women had to overcome eating disorders and poor self body image. Setting a goal and following through is not easy but once you do it and you accomplish something your world changes. I highly encourage you to set some goals for 2015, hire a coach to help you, to walk along side you, to pick you up when you need it. Make 2015 the year of change. You are never to old to start anything and it is never too late. When we get to the end of our lives the last thing we want to deal with is regret, so push forward and make your life the life of your dreams.
