One of the biggest bad habits that I see over and over is people that talk negatively about others or put people down. This behavior may make people feel better about themselves, but quite honestly, it is not healthy to live in a life filled with negativity.
I would like to extend a challenge to each of you to begin being conscious of how you talk and think about others. Not just your friends, your family and your neighbours, but also strangers that you meet throughout the day. If you are honest with yourself, you may just be surprised at how much of those thoughts and words are negative in nature.
Once you have spent some time paying attention to these thoughts, try going for an entire day (or week) without allowing yourself to think with negativity. When you catch yourself, quickly try to think of one positive quality about that person. This may not be as easy as it sounds.
