Many of us don’t even realize that we are not breathing properly. In our fast paced lives, we have become a nation of people that breathe very shallowly. A full breathe is one that fills our lungs to capacity and allows the oxygen to fully enter our bodies. Oxygen is the fuel that our body needs to have a healthy heart and destroy all the harmful bacteria in our body.
If you aren’t sure if you have taken a full breathe, you can easily tell because, when done properly, your abdomen should expand and there should be little movement in your shoulders.
I challenge you to take notice of your breathing over the next few days and let me know what your observations are. Hopefully you will begin to make a conscious effort to breathe deeply and will be on track for building a healthy life for yourself.
